Change controls: Move between groups of differences using the up and down buttons above the panes.
Diff map: Select a coloured mark beside the panes to jump to its change.
Line endings: Windows and Mac line endings compare equally. A final line break counts as a difference.

Text: Plain text files. UTF8, or UTF16 with a byte order mark. Size depends on browser resources.
Documents: PDF, DOCX and PPTX. Extracted text comparison, up to 50 MB per file. Scanned PDFs need OCR before opening. Convert legacy DOC files to DOCX or PDF.
Images: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP and HEIC. Up to 50 MB per file. Pixel comparison supports 40 million pixels. HEIC support depends on the browser. Animated images compare their decoded frame.
Spreadsheets: CSV, TSV, XLSX, XLS and ODS. Up to 50 MB per file. Select a sheet in each version to compare cells.

Highlight: Choose Automatic, Words or Characters. Automatic refines close word changes to characters.
Ignore: Disregard extra spaces, letter case, quotation styles, dash styles or specific phrases.
Hide unchanged lines: Collapse matching sections to focus on changes. Select a collapsed section to expand it.
Spreadsheet controls: Compare values or formulas, hide matching rows and columns, and ignore case or repeated spaces.

Open the File menu for saves, sessions and share links.

Save comparison: Store a copy in this browser. Saved comparisons belong to the browser and site address where they were created.
Export session: Create a portable file for another device or browser. Import session accepts decoded data up to 128 MB.
Share link: Create a link containing a compressed snapshot, including comments. Links have an 8,000 character limit. Export a session for larger comparisons. A later revision needs a new link.
